Give him Free!!

My name is Cory Doctorow, and I am a science fiction novelist, blogger and technology activist. I think of Bradley Manning as a hero because — if he did what they say he did — he exposed enormous corruption. But even if you don’t think he’s a hero, even if you think what he did was a terrible crime, a society of laws is one that treats people as innocent until proven guilty, gives them open courts in which to defend themselves, allows them to see the evidence against themselves in their own defense and so on. No matter what you think about Bradley Manning, the way society treats him reflects on all of us.

My name is Alex. I’m from Ontario, Canada. I am a student- a teenager. I am the future. I support Bradley Manning because Bradley stood up for what was right and did not hide the truth from those who deserved to know it.

My name is Jenna, I was born in America and now live in Canada. My heart breaks to see how the country of my birth sought fit to torture and keep this man in solitary for 635 DAYS and as of today, sees fit to keep him in prison for 717 DAYS without trial. Even if you do not think he is a hero, (I do, I can’t even begin to explain how much I care about this man) you have to consider his treatment abhorrent. Everyone needs to stand up for Bradley. Now. Until he is free. I am a writer, a friend, and a human being. I am Bradley Manning.

Give him the Nobel Prize

My name is Kim Lundström, I live in a town called Umeå in Sweden. Im an unemployed geek and I am Bradley Manning because the truth is always the answer.

My name is Randy Koch and I am a retired carpenter from Vermont.  I salute Bradley Manning as the greatest American hero of our day.

I am Gisa Casties, a 70 year old grandma from Germany. I support and take part in peace movements and in anti nuclear activities, I signed in with Avaaz and others. I was arrested at the Nevada Test Site quite often, but I only spent one night at Las Vegas City Jail. One night definitely was enough for me - it’s more than just time to free Bradley Manning. He is not guilty:  blowing the whistle on a war crime is not a crime!

My name is Dawn Burris, I am a resident of planet earth and I am in support of Mr. Bradley Manning. Love will prevail and we shall ALL know WE ARE ONE!

My name’s Dawid Krenc, I’m a PhD student at the University of Kiel in Germany. I was born in Poland. Some people could not have helped doing what Bradley did, I’m one of them. I hope he will be free one day.

I am Bradley Manning!

My name is Ashwin Umapathi. I am a student at Singapore American School and I have been greatly inspired by Bradley Manning’s courageous challenge to U.S. imperialism. He has compromised his freedom so that he could shed light on the corrupt practices of both his own government, and those of others, as well as point to a new path for the international community: a path to a more just and humane world. Now, we must finish what he started and fight for the better future he envisaged.
